Just a new beginning submitted by valjean on August 20, 2018, 8:00am The final volume in Gaiman's original Sandman run gets completely wrapped up here in typical wondrous fashion. Expect no loose ends! A new character, Daniel, is introduced into DC continuity, and he is still active in use as recently as this summer. If you are desperate for more, Gaiman wrote a follow-up series called Sandman: Overture that ran from 2013-2015, and it is available from AADL!
The Wake submitted by hrgray on July 8, 2023, 2:15pm This volume does a good job of wrapping up the series and packs a lot of emotional punch. The art in this volume is especially beautiful. My only complaint with this is that the two one-shot stories that follow the main body of "The Wake" didn't fit well with the rest of the volume - maybe they would have been better published separately?
Mostly excellent submitted by kaymbre on July 21, 2023, 7:00am Sandman Volume 10 was an intriguing read, offering a satisfactory conclusion to the series. Gaiman's storytelling continues to be imaginative and thought-provoking, with some memorable moments that add depth to the characters we've come to love. However, I couldn't help but feel that certain plot threads were rushed, leaving me wanting more. I really liked the artwork in this one. Much better than volume 9. Overall, it was a solid conclusion to the Sandman saga, but not quite as mind-blowing as some of its predecessors.
