Wow submitted by spwang on February 18, 2019, 12:41pm An incredibly thoughtful movie with a interesting format through the screen of a laptop. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

Seriously good thriller submitted by emilyb308 on August 5, 2019, 1:54pm I watched this with a friend and we were both super impressed. The method of telling the story through screens was so original, and so skillfully handled. It was amazing how much meaning and emotion could be conveyed by something as simple as watching an event get deleted from a digital calendar. Fantastic attention to detail. The plot was really gripping too. It hooked me right away and kept my interest throughout the film, which included some surprising twists. Definitely worth the watch in my opinion.

An Astonishing Achievement submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 11:11pm This film is, simply put, astonishing and offers a new, imaginative mode of storytelling for the digital age. The first few minutes provide a complete, strikingly effective background story that eases viewers into the intricately designed narrative framework. Told entirely through the main character’s computer screen, the story seamlessly integrates camera footage, audio recordings, and more typical content like web searches and streaming video in a way that feels true to everyday use. In less careful hands, this could feel like a gimmick, but the film is as much about how the internet affects our perceptions and experiences as it is about its central narrative arc (a father’s quest to locate his missing teenage daughter). Effective as a thriller, as a slow-burn character study, and as a commentary on the many roles our computers play in our daily lives, this film is an inimitable, painstakingly crafted work of art that rises above cheap tricks to dig up and explore progressively deeper truths about modern life.
