A Sci-fi Romance that works! submitted by jamattock on June 12, 2021, 6:40pm An interesting premise with a little bit for everyone. The plot meanders a bit in the middle, but the end will make you glad you finished.

A Leisurely Stroll submitted by 17661 on June 15, 2022, 4:14pm This book was not at all what I was expecting. Which isn't to say that I didn't enjoy it. The writing was really lovely, almost indulgent. It felt much like talking a long, leisurely walk where you stop frequently and enjoy the sights and sounds all around you. To that end, the book felt mostly like a dialogue on life, art, and humanity, rather than a story. Definitely very character driven, but super slow-paced.

Very enjoyable, expect to see this adapted for the screen submitted by wendylv on June 23, 2022, 2:34pm This is an engaging be-careful-what-you-wish-for story with compelling characters you can totally envision as a screenplay (where Luc and Henry should be played by the same actor aided by hair and makeup to portray the literal handsome devil (Luc) and the sweet soul-mate (Henry)). I did find it more enjoyable to jump around in the story flipping pages to the near end and back to the middle.

Beautiful story, well written! submitted by anisaisap on July 1, 2022, 9:53pm I’m by no means a lover of fantasy, but you don’t have to be to enjoy this book!

Beautiful and descriptive novel submitted by Bethybeth07 on July 20, 2022, 4:01pm Excellent fantasy fiction. It seemed like there would be no good way to wrap it up clean but it worked very well

Another win submitted by bookasaurusray on July 27, 2022, 10:46pm This wasnt as good as some of her other books, but I think the concept was cool - just wish it was better executed.

Phenomenal Book submitted by Kejaeck on August 2, 2022, 4:03pm I absolutely loved this book! It hooked me and kept me turning the page to see where it would take me next. The jumps between time worked well to tell the story, and the ending seemed fitting. Already have recommended this to other book lovers.

Beautiful fantasy novel submitted by vickik on June 15, 2023, 10:51am This is a fantasy novel about Addie, a young woman in 1714 who makes a deal with a devil-like figure for eternal life, only to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Three hundred years later, in 2014, she finally meets someone who remembers her. Why does Henry, the bookseller, remember her when no one else does? You will find out in this poignant, beautifully-written novel.

Lives Up to the Hype submitted by bll1010 on June 16, 2023, 9:32pm This book has been well-loved, but I wasn't sure it would be my cup of tea. I was so wrong! This book is absolutely beautiful. The writing is lovely and reading about Addie living an endless life in order to learn what is really most important moved me. I highly recommend this book!

interesting concept, lovely writing submitted by apknapp on June 30, 2023, 9:52am I kept getting hung up on the practicalities of this curse, and I felt the book was a bit longer than it needed to be, occasionally got bogged down a bit. But overall this was an engaging and poignant read.

Wonderful book submitted by sara.samuel on July 2, 2023, 3:40pm Addie is unable to leave a mark in the world and people forget her as soon as she is out of sight. We get to read about parts of her story that show the challenges and benefits of being invisible, how she changes as a result of her life experiences, and the ways she figures out how to leave a mark on the world after all. I love this book. It's such a mind-bending experience to think about how each person leaves so many marks on the world, and when that ability is taken away, how can you do anything or even just be a part of the world? It has complex characters and the story really highlights the beauty of humans and the world.
