Propaganda submitted by pdlesko on November 1, 2022, 8:04pm Written as a fairytale of trans life, death and acceptance, this book is solid reading until the mystery kicks in. It then becomes ridiculously out of touch with reality.

Good, Fast-Paced Read submitted by adimarzo on June 12, 2023, 8:06pm Mad Honey is a good, fast-paced read. The characters are well-developed and the writing is very good. I enjoyed learning a little about bee culture and beekeeping as well.

Timely submitted by kkjammers on June 20, 2023, 11:26am Mad Honey is quite a creation: co-written by two talented writers, it follows the story of Olivia, beekeeper and mother; her son Asher, high school hockey team captain; Lily, new student to the New Hampshire high school Asher attends; Ava, Lily’s mother, a forest ranger; and many other characters. It was a compelling and heart-felt story. Occasionally, it bordered on preachy, but it is a worthwhile and educational novel.

Unlikeable ending submitted by hiker15 on July 14, 2023, 9:28pm A girl dies and someone is tagged as the killer. But is that person the killer? On and on and on and finally the ending arrives. And it is unsatisfactory to everyone but one person. Lots of angst and drama in this book.

a compelling read submitted by laurenalysse on August 7, 2023, 6:16pm I went into this book knowing very little about the plot. There is a class Picoult twist, and the story as told in reverse by Lily, a teenage girl, and in forward by Olivia, the mother of the boy who dated her. The courtroom drama was interesting, if not entirely believable. That being said, I'm glad this book was written and that I read it.
