A poetic journey through our solar system submitted by stantongockelhannah on December 5, 2021, 10:19pm Gosh I love this book. It’s beautifully written, and takes you on a journey from Our Sun to Pluto. Each planet is a chapter, and the author weaves together science, history, new discoveries, and even a bit of the uncanny astrology of some space expeditions. It’s a pretty quick read and so lovely. My favorite chapter was written from the perspective of the planet, Saturn maybe? It’ll definitely inspire you to look up at the night sky more often.

Timeless submitted by tcramer318 on June 18, 2022, 3:16pm I love Dava Sobel's writing style, and she really delivers in this book. She includes elements of history, mythology, and even music to create a story of our solar system that feels more rounded than just a list of facts. I like that you don't need a deep knowledge of science to be able to appreciate this book. I also like that even though there have been so many discoveries since this book was published, that it still feels timeless.
