Description
Come experience “The Power of Cartooning!” as we focus on learning how to exaggerate the emotions and expressions of a cartoon character using the world famous Japanese Anime cartooning style. Be a part of the super-sized visual drama in the imaginary universe of cartoon superheroes and heroines as we learn to draw the wild and powerful ways that these figures move. A special surprise teacher visit from one of the cartoon illustrators from Marvel Comics will demonstrate how to create a superhero from beginning to end stages!
True creativity comes from the mastery of core skills combined with original thought! Join Young Rembrandts teachers on Saturdays in September and October for directed drawing that gives young students instruction on how to break down complex images into simple ones. Students will explore many different techniques and art tools (colored pencil, pastel, and marker) while learning the drawing skills that lay the foundation for all visual arts. Illustration, design, fine art composition, and cartooning will be covered.
